What is a porta cabin?

A porta cabin is a factory-built modular structure with insulated sandwich panel walls and roof, a steel structural frame, and full electrical and plumbing provisions. It's designed to be transported by truck, lifted by crane, and deployed on any level surface. Porta cabins can be used as offices, dormitories, stores, canteens, or welfare units and can be joined or stacked to create larger structures.

Are porta cabins available for rental?

Yes. We offer porta cabins for both outright purchase and short or long-term rental. Rental typically includes delivery, installation, and collection at the end of the rental period. Monthly rental terms are available. Rental is popular for infrastructure projects with defined durations of 6–24 months.

Can porta cabins be stacked to create two floors?

Yes. Our porta cabins are designed with engineered inter-unit connectors that allow two units to be stacked vertically. The G+1 configuration is popular for accommodation blocks where the upper unit is a dormitory and the lower unit is a welfare or toilet facility. Engineering drawings for double-storey configurations are provided before fabrication.

How are porta cabins joined to create a larger floor plan?

Units are joined horizontally by removing the adjacent wall panels and installing inter-unit doorway frames. Multiple cabins can be arranged in an L-shape, U-shape, or linear row to create conference rooms, large dormitories, or canteen blocks. We produce a layout drawing showing the complete floor plan before any fabrication.

What insulation is used?

Standard porta cabins use 40 mm EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) sandwich panels. Upgraded units use 50–60 mm PUF (Polyurethane Foam) panels, which offer better thermal performance and moisture resistance. PUF panels are recommended for coastal sites, high-humidity environments, or long-term deployments where thermal comfort is critical.

How quickly can a porta cabin be delivered?

Standard porta cabins — office, store, and accommodation configurations — are delivered within 5–10 days of order or rental confirmation. On-site installation takes 4–8 hours for a single unit. Multi-unit complexes or double-storey stacked configurations take 2–5 days on site.

What is the cost difference between buying and renting?

A standard 10×20 ft porta cabin purchase price is typically ₹80,000–1,40,000 depending on specification. Monthly rental for the same cabin starts from ₹4,000–8,000 per month depending on duration and fitting level. For projects shorter than 18–24 months, rental is usually more economical. For recurring multi-project use, purchase pays back within 2–3 deployments.

Can the interior configuration be customised?

Yes. Porta cabins are configured to your specific use before dispatch. Common configurations include open-plan office, partitioned manager cabin, bunk-bed dormitory, canteen serving area, tool store with shelving, and first-aid room with washbasin. We approve a layout drawing with you before fabrication begins.
