A standard prefab cabin is designed for human occupancy — offices, welfare facilities. An industrial enclosure is engineered for equipment protection in potentially hostile environments — hazardous atmospheres, high temperatures, acoustic isolation, or fire-rated containment. The design methodology, materials, statutory compliance, and construction details are fundamentally different. Poojary Prefab designs both; our industrial enclosures are purpose-engineered from scratch.

Yes. CPCB II requires that DG sets of 5 kVA and above be enclosed so that noise level at 1 metre does not exceed 75 dB(A). Our generator enclosures are designed with louvred ventilation baffles, rockwool acoustic lining, anti-vibration exhaust mounts, and acoustic door seals to achieve this standard. We provide insertion loss calculations and can arrange third-party acoustic testing on site.

We design enclosures for PESO Zone 1 (hazardous at all times) and Zone 2 (hazardous occasionally) classifications under IS 5572. This includes explosion-vent panel sizing to NFPA 68 principles, ventilation rates to IS 5571 requirements, and ATEX-compatible electrical fitting specifications. For Zone 0 classified areas, the equipment inside is the primary design driver and we work with the process engineer on the enclosure envelope.

Our acoustic enclosures achieve insertion losses of 20–50 dB(A) depending on specification. A basic single-skin rockwool-lined enclosure achieves 20–25 dB(A). A double-skin mass-loaded vinyl and rockwool construction achieves 35–45 dB(A). Custom floating-floor and isolating-mount configurations achieve 45–50 dB(A). We design to your specific noise target at a specified measurement point.

We provide fire-rated construction to FRL 30, 60, or 120 minutes. FRL 60 (60 minutes fire resistance) is the standard specification for transformer rooms and switchgear enclosures per IE Rules. Battery room enclosures for lithium-ion applications are designed to FRL 120 minutes with fire suppression provisions. All fire ratings are achieved with tested wall and roof systems.

Yes. For corrosive environments — coastal, chemical plant, acidic atmosphere — we specify hot-dip galvanised structural framing, 316L stainless steel or FRP cladding, corrosion-resistant fasteners, and marine-grade paint systems. For offshore applications, full offshore structural design to NORSOK standards is available on a project-specific basis.

Cable entries in hazardous area enclosures use ATEX-certified multi-cable transit (MCT) frames or individual ATEX gland fittings to maintain the area classification boundary. Pipe entries use certified pipe sealing systems. We specify the number, size, and classification of all entries at design stage — no site-drilled holes that compromise the hazardous area boundary.

Yes. We supply and install louvred gravity ventilation systems, axial fan forced ventilation, and in hazardous areas, certified explosion-proof fans and motorised louvres. For electrical rooms, we specify and supply precision air conditioning systems with N+1 redundancy provisions. HVAC selection is based on heat dissipation from the equipment inside the enclosure.

Power generation (thermal, solar, hydro, wind), oil and gas (upstream production, downstream refining, LPG/CNG), petrochemical, chemical, water and wastewater treatment, pharmaceutical manufacturing, steel, cement, paper, and mining.
