First-aid rooms are a statutory requirement on every large construction site and factory in India — mandated under Section 45 of the Factories Act, 1948, and the Building & Other Construction Workers (BOCW) Act, 1996. The interior layout includes an examination table or stretcher bed, a stainless steel wash basin with running water provision, lockable medicine and equipment storage, and a stretcher parking provision near the door. The room is insulated, air-conditioned, and properly lit — conditions required for any medical assessment.
