A porta toilet (also called a prefab toilet block or portable sanitation unit) is a factory-built, self-contained sanitation structure with pre-installed plumbing, sanitary ware, and electrical ventilation. It connects to an on-site water supply and drainage system and is operational within hours of delivery. Unlike site-built toilet blocks, it can be relocated when your project ends.

The BOCW Act and CPHEEO guidelines specify one WC per 25 female workers and one WC per 25 male workers, plus urinals for male workers. For a 200-worker site with a 150/50 male/female split, you typically need 6 male WC compartments, 2 male urinal stations, and 2 female WC compartments at minimum. We size every multi-unit block to the applicable ratio for your headcount.

A septic tank provides basic biological treatment of sewage on-site and discharges treated effluent into a soak pit. It's suitable where the ground has sufficient permeability. A holding tank stores sewage without discharge — it requires periodic emptying by a vacuum tanker. Holding tanks are mandatory on eco-sensitive sites, water table-sensitive zones, or locations where ground discharge is not permitted.

FRP (Fibre Reinforced Plastic) units are corrosion-resistant, lighter, and easier to clean, making them the preferred choice for long-duration deployments, coastal sites, and humid environments. MS steel units are more economical and suitable for shorter-duration projects where conditions are less aggressive. Both meet the same sanitation compliance standards.

Single-unit toilet cabins are typically dispatched within 5–7 days. Multi-unit blocks with 6–20 compartments take 7–14 days from order confirmation. On-site installation — positioning, levelling, and connecting water and drainage — takes 4–8 hours for a single block.

Yes — all multi-unit blocks are configured with clearly separated male and female sections as standard. Male sections include WC compartments and urinal facilities; female sections include WC compartments, washbasins, and, where specified, sanitary disposal bins. Partition walls between sections are solid and full-height.

Yes. We supply toilet blocks for large public events, festivals, and exhibitions. Event configurations typically use FRP units for their ease of cleaning and rapid turnaround. Holding tank options are used where no drainage infrastructure is available at the event venue. We size the block count to the anticipated peak attendance figure provided by the event organiser.

The unit is crane-lifted and loaded onto a truck for relocation to your next site. Before relocation, the holding or septic tank is emptied by a vacuum tanker, and the sanitary fittings are cleaned and inspected. The same unit can typically serve 4–6 project deployments before any significant refurbishment is needed.
